What is UraSprintti?


UraSprintti is a digital employment-oriented coaching service utilizing modern digital solutions for offering flexible coaching that meets customers’ needs.

Coaching service is for anyone who wants support or guidance for identifying one’s competence and strengths, weighing career options, information on competence development opportunities, support for developing job-seeking skills and digital skills for working life and tools for solving issues standing in the way of employment.

The coaching service has already started in the North Savo, South Savo, Southeast Finland and Lapland areas.

Coaching progression

The coaching service is provided by BearIT. If you wish to participate in it, please contact your local TE Office or employment services of your municipality of residence in case you are a customer of the local government pilot on employment.
You will receive an invitation to UraSprintti by email after being selected for it.
The coaching starts with you completing an OSKAR competence survey and booking a time for a guidance discussion with your coach via our online booking service.
The guidance discussion will be carried out as a video conference, during which you will discuss your goals with your coach.
You will start on your coaching path on our digital coaching platform as you have agreed with your coach.
Your coach will support you as you work to achieve your goals. During the coaching, you can easily contact your coach by chat and monitor your own progress as you go.
At the end of the coaching, you will have a final discussion with your coach during which you will make a follow-up plan that supports you in taking your next steps towards employment.

The OSKAR competence survey at the start of UraSprintti is an easy-to-use tool for mapping competencies and skills.

OSKAR competence survey tool is based on ESCO: the European classification of Skills, Competences and Occupations, which provides descriptions of over 3000 occupations and almost 14 000 skills. 

The aim of the survey is to collect information about the professional and other competencies and skills that you have picked up along the way as well as about your motivation and professional interests. When your actual competencies and skills have been assessed and recognized, it will be easier for you to target your job search correctly or to select the right services to expedite finding employment.

Recognition of competencies and skills  is the beginning for the happy story of employment.

Coaching for customers' needs - Towards personal goals

You can choose 1–2 coaching paths that best support your goals. The total duration of the coaching is 32 weekdays at the most.

  • DIGITAL SKILLS FOR WORKING LIFE

    Aimed at developing the customer’s basic IT skills commonly needed in a variety of jobs, duration 15 weekdays. 

  • CAREER PLANNING

    Aimed at clarifying the customer’s career
    options, duration 15 weekdays.

  • POSSIBILITIES OF DEVELOPING COMPETENCE

    Aimed at helping the customer identify
    paths for developing the competences that
    fit their situation and support their goals, duration 15 weekdays.

  • JOB SEEKING SKILLS

    Aimed at helping the customer compile tools for themselves to support effective job seeking, duration 15 weekdays.

  • WORK ABILITY AND FUNCTIONING

    Aimed at helping the customer devise a follow-up plan that takes their ability to work into consideration and sketches out their next steps towards the labour market, duration 5 weekdays.

Frequently asked questions

  • UraSprintti is for customers of TE office and local government pilots on employment in the areas of five different ELY Centres.

    For instructions on applying, contact your expert in your local TE office or in the employment services of your municipality of residence.

  • Yes . You can participate in coaching regardless of time of day. However, you are expected to work actively on every weekday during the coaching program.

  • Yes. You will need a smartphone, tablet or computer for participating in UraSprintti.  In addition, you should have online banking codes, a mobile certificate, or a smart ID card for identity verification.

  • There are no lectures in the coaching at this time. Working is based on information search, thinking and reflection, and written assignments on the digital platform.

  • You can discuss issues that are important to you during the guidance discussions with your coach. In addition, you can send a chat message to your coach easily on the digital coaching platform.
